 Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) settings
Solution Your outgoing or SMTP mail server setting is : mail.yourdomain.com
(where yourdomain.com is your actual domain name)

NOTE : Remember to enable "Outgoing Mail Server Authentication" in your e-mail program. With out enabling this setting you will not be able to send e-mail from our servers.

1. Outlook 2000

a. Go to Tools
b. Services
c. Accounts (if Services is not listed).

Select your Internet E-Mail Account and press "Properties." Go to the "Servers" tab, and check "My server requires authentication" under Outgoing Mail Server. Press "Settings," select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server," then press "OK" three times to save the changes & return to Outlook. Finally, restart your computer.


2. Outlook 2002 & 2003

a. Go to Tools
b. E-Mail Accounts.

Select "View or change existing e-mail accounts" and press "Next." Select your Intermedia POP/SMTP account and press "Change." Press "More Settings." Go to the "Outgoing Server" tab, and check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication." Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" and press "OK." Press "Next," then press "Finish" to confirm your changes and return to Outlook. Finally, restart your computer.


3. Outlook Express

a. Go to Tools
b. Accounts

Select the "Mail" tab. Select your Intermedia account and press "Properties." Go to the "Servers" tab, and check "My server requires authentication" under Outgoing Mail Server. Press "Settings," select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server," then press "OK" twice times to save the changes, then press "Close" to return to Outlook Express. Finally, restart your computer.



4. Windows Mail (Vista Mail)

a. Go to Tools
b. Accounts

Under Mail, click your e-mail account, and then click Properties. Click the Servers tab, under Outgoing Mail Server, select the My server requires authentication check box.

After these settings the outgoing mail problem shall get resolved quickly.


If you have domain name pointers, you must use your primary domain name, not any domain pointers. Using a domain name pointer as your SMTP server will not work and you will encounter problems sending email from your account.
